These 12-inch pedigree "negative space" basswood engravings are $150/USD. The price includes Priority shipping within the US, frame, and metal stand. Frame includes metal hardware for hanging on a wall. International shipping may incur an additional shipping fee.
Negative space engraving removes the top layer of the wood, except for the subject. The light color is the original wood surface, and the dark areas are burned by the engraver. This creates a nice, textured engraving with the subject slightly outset from the negative space.
These engravings are difficult to create, and typically take 5 hours to engrave, excluding any setup and image editing. Each one is unique, due to the nature of wood.
